Hi guys... I got a couple 350x's a is gonna remain completely oem...'and is in really good shape... Now I got another one I build like a street racer... Street tires, 4+ swingarm, 4+ axle... Now I was looking to mod the motor in this one... Looking for a couple opinions.... Should I go with a big bore, high compression or a stroker kit... I already got a 400ex carb on it... And bought a fcr carb to try just never hooked up yet? Any ideas?

im picking up an 86 350x and have plans to do a 400 kit for it. My brother is putting together a few of them, i know they are higher compression but I think it is less than 12:1 though. I have riden his 400 kitted 86 and its a different animal than the worn out 350x's are after 30 years of abuse. punch it out, up the compression. I have heard that swapping over to the FCR on a 350x is where its at for increased throttle response as well

IMO, you should run the highest compression you can for the fuel you plan to use. The dynamic compression should be calculated for this not the static.

More Compression =
More hp
More torque

If both engines are the same displacement the engine with the longer stroke will have more bottom end.

TC Racing has built some 465’s out of a 350x. See contact info in the link below.
