Been a member on this site almost a year. Now i finally own a Atc :). Its a 83 200e big red according to the vin.
Its funny how i got it, ive been talking to my uncle how ive wanted one for some time now. He let me ride his 250es and i loved how it handled compared to fourwheelers. One day he mentions he knows someone who has one they might sell. Well one day i got off work and he sends me a picture, i asked how much? So he sends a pic of it in his truck and says $100. Apparently i bought myself a wheeler lol

Shes rough for sure.
Guy i bought it from never had it out riding. So it sat for a few years
Tank is wrong
Has no muffler
Chains on the front forks are to keep them from coming off/seperating? Not real sure
The nut is missing to hold one tire on (and a tire has a hole)
Rear plastics are trashed/missing middle piece
P.O. tried using some random small batteries?
Goofy headlights that make it look like a bug (brother nicknamed it bugsy)
Gas tank has rust in it but otherwise looks in good shape. Not sure if it leaks yet, havnt filled it with gas
The wiring up front is butchered.
The P.O. really did a number on this poor thing.
But i pulled the carb, gave it a quick clean and after a new plug some starting fluid/gas in the cylindar she fired up an ran really good. Surprisingly didnt smoke a whole lot? Even though i was running mixed gas in it. (All i had on hand)
Got the plastics sorta pieced together with some thin sheetmetal and its starting to look more ride-able.

Right, but isnt that the point of these things. Even fixing them can be fun. I took it for a quick spin around the house and i had the biggest grin stuck on my face

Did some more work today. Plastics on. And picked up a axle nut. No one was open so couldnt get a tube for the tire sadly. But it looks more like a rideable wheeler now
