Seen it at a scrap yard on the way back from the deer lease. I stopped and looked at it and it has chrome alum. rims and orignal fenders with stickers on them. I was going to let 3wheelhouston buy it but I want the rims to bad. I have to pick it up on monday, guy told me he will save it for me. Then take the rims off and part the rest of it out on ebay. I did notice a couple pieces missing like the reeds, front rotor and brake cable and the head light. I'll snap some pics of it when I get it home monday night.

NICE FIND!!! I'm interested in parts off it if you want to not deal w/ ebay. I'd love to see pictures of it when you get it home. I'll let you know what I want after the pics. But I'd be interested in the plastics if they are in good shape, and the radiator scoops.

LET ME KNOW

OH!! it might not be a 86 then it didn't have any radiator scoops on it. It looked alot like my 84 but it had thumb throttle and it looked like it had disc brake on the front. I'll have it tomorrow and then I'll find out what year it is.

NICE TECATE!! Deffinatelly worth the money you spent. It is a 85 T3, Are you going to put it back together (I hope) or part it out. 85 parts are not to hard to find.

KEEP US INFORMED

I don't know yet what I want to do with it. I know I have to get the $65 I bought it for. My future wife wants me to get the money back that I was suppose to be using for our wedding. I thought about selling a couple of things off it but I don't know what yet.

I looked at it a little bit when I got it home. But it has a Honda thumb throttle and a yahama muffler on it. Plus the great head light off of somebodys truck " I don't think I can get rid of that." The rear finder has a small hole in it on the right side. The front fender has a small crack on the left side. Its missing the run switch, head light switch and the kill switch. The chain gaurd, all front brake parts are missing, boot shcok cover and the front brake lever are all missing. Far as I can see its only missing the cyl. head to get it to run again. The carb looks alot smaller than the one on my 84 tecate. Thats all I can think of for now...

I would say part it out unless you want to build it as a project bike and make it look nice again. Brakes/Head/Kaw Muffer those will cost over $100 on ebay and who knows if you got spark with the stator and flywheel thats in there, if you try to piece together, it could get expensive. My thoughts, I had 3 - 84 Tecates and I was had $300 into one and still need like all plastics and a Rear Master Cylinder but that stuff would have cost me close to $200 and around here a Tecate with No title running will go for around $600-700 and not worth the time. Its fun though restoring trikes and that looks like a fun one, After my 85 R project I will be looking for a 87 Tecate Project. Nice pick-up though
