Just bought the 200es big red and yes it smokes a little bit, no problem. But during my last ride before teardown begins I noticed it slips out of gear and when I shift higher or lower it doesn't go back into gear, until its ready. Why does my bike act like a women? Is this a major fix or just a gear wear issue?
Thanks for any help,

Could be clutch. Try adjusting it, if adjusting it and a good fresh oil change with ATV 10w-40 doesn't do the job then it might be time for a new set of clutches. Its not that terrible of a job but it is some work to tear it down and redo it.

Hey thanks, I bought a shop manual online but thanks again. With that hopefully it will take hours off the teardown and rebuild as the ol 200 needs new rings, so I figured I'd go deeper and change all gaskets and check the tranny as well, do you know of anybody who has a spare back rack toolbox cover? The metal one that covers the actual plastic toolbox lid?? Desperate for the rebuild to specs
