I'm trying to purchase a set of rear rims to put on my 1985 125m. The rear rims are coming off of an 85-86 250r. These bolt patterns are not the same so I intend to buy this guys hubs as well. Before I purchase, will the 250r hub fit the 125m axle? Are the splines thes same?

nope. 125M has fewer splines than 85/86R. you can use hubs from:

atc70
atc90
atc110
atc125M
atc185(s)
atc200(s/m/e)
atc200x (4/110 bolt pattern)
atc250R (81-84) (4/110 bolt pattern)

Use 200X hubs. Or TRX 250X, 300EX, 400EX, 450R hubs like these - be sure they come with lug nuts to save you some time/hassle/$$

TRX450R has different hubs as well. I was going to buy a set for my 200X but they won't fit different spline.
