That is pretty cool! I'm not that old... but learned to drive in a '78 Supercab Long bed 4x4, AND used to haul around me and a buddy's 200x's....

alright... maybe that old!

Thx !

love from the non ford guys!

If it makes u feel better, I did a burnout towing a dozer and lost second gear somewhere. Let me know if u find it, so new transmission just in too with a mega cooler and under cab fan.

Will post pics when done, just bedliner and 3m rock guard stuff, then reassembly

Considering fuel injection in fall, not sure how to plumb with the twin tanks...

Nice Truck. For fuel injection just use the factory parts from a later model Ford. My 1990 F350 is a 460 EFI with dual tanks. There is a low pressure pump in each tank and a high pressure pump on the frame after the switching valve.

good thought
switch valve is manual still in the later models?

Electric rocker on the dash, the valve under the truck has ports for both feed and return.

was just thinkin about those tires, may be time to rescue 2 for spares and swap in 2 more. They last me about an oil change, 3 k miles or so.

badass dentside.

you wanna paint my 79 while you got all the tools out? :p

I bought my son a 78 SB F150 4x4 that needs paint too. It looks like a highschool kid had to get into his stash of taggin supplies to rattlecan the getaway vehicle

Yeah I had Irok 37.5 swampers on mine until this week. They lasted about 8K miles till bald. $1600 for 8K miles. If they didn`t look so damn good, I would never had driven them on pavement like an idiot and had a separate set of AT radials. I put some cheapo ($200 ea) set of Nankang 889 MT radials on it now

OMFG I just now saw this magical piece of machinery. I'm gonna go out back and smoke a cigarette now. I don't even smoke cigarettes but it feels necessary at this juncture.

Thats a Ferd f-teenthousand right there.

Thank u!
Will keep u updated, should be done in a week except bedliner, told the paint guy to just get it back together and I will take care of liner as I want it back.

Love the other dentside pics!
It has been my favorite style since I was a kid (born in 1973)
Probably an impressionable age at 7 years old or so. I also like the late 80 Chevy, (drivers license age.)

These tires don't scuff too bad on the road and road noise isn't bad.
This is the reason the tires don't last long (turn up your speakers for this one, posted it before)

That rig rocks plastik! I also love the late 70's Fords. My dream machine would be a short box 79 F-150, I-6 4 Speed. I know, boring right? At my age slow and steady wins the race. Could always swap in a 351W..............!

351W's are one hell of a motor. I've had two, a '74 and a '75 along with a 300 6 and man they don't take much to turn into something mean. Very, VERY good engines.

Clear was lifting, wanted to go in new direction. Still a bit to do. Don't like the roof white, will have him match it with the flecked green pearl/white side panels( tho it looks cream).

Although in the pics it isn't to bad??? Not sure, hmm

Not a show truck by any stretch, daily weekend driver so I just want it clean not pristine

Looks awesome!I just looked at a 76 F150 from Spokane Washington. The truck is very solid.Only problem is I need a new daily driver.Noticed you already have tie downs on the box.A friend of mine has a nos set of Ford bed rails he might part with.Always liked those.Looking at your truck puts way to many silly Ideas in my head.

Lol, ya. I know what u mean
For the amount in it, I would own a new f350 loaded but, this makes me smile when I see it

Ties are nice but with new paint, maybe not so useful. Will post a pic of the new toy to go in the bed to help with trike loading ( winch)

I want to add an in- bed rail system or maybe floor tiedowns.
Still gotta get a new Liner sprayed in
