New member with reclaimed childhood 250r dream

Brand-new to the forum but not new to the ATC 250 R I bought one when I was 19 years old brand-new 86 regretted selling it a few years later and just bought another one, looking to restore it to near original, I think this is one of the last production serial number units. Does anyone know what the last serial number produced was?192329

Welcome! I don't know about the serial number BUT I've been restoring (2) 1985 Honda ATC 250R's and a 1985 Honda ATC 350X since last year so if you need any help I might be able to steer you in the right direction.

Hey man I like the way it looks now I don't think I would touch it just replace parts that are broken if there any. And drive it It looks pretty original besides the exhaust pipe and the wheels and tires.

Thanks for the replies, feels good to be back, now my boys 22, and 17 can feel the power I've been bragging about since they could walk, first hand. Just took them to pismo where I spent a lot of time as a kid on a 200x. Here's a pic.

Funny you should ask, I borrowed them from a buddy and took them off after 2 hours in the dunes. I like being able to slide and throw the rear end around, just to much traction with the paddles. Maybe I'm missing something but I didn't like the feel.
