a little info on it from the owner... he sounds like he really wants to sell it fast...

"The motor looks OK. The jugs are off and the covers are off because I was going to put new crank seals in it. I could take some detail pics. The trike was built by Performance ATC in Spring Valley CA. It's based on a '78 or '79 ATC 110.

yeah and it looks like the forks are too... I wonder though, did the same guy make this one? Was making an RD350 into a trike a big thing back then where everyone was doing it? lol Way back in the very early 80s, a fried of mine had an old RD 350, I remember him working on it day and night... it was purple, loud and cool looking with the café racer handle bars on it.. lol

Yes, these conversions were actually quite popular back in the day. Especially in CA, AZ or any area with dunes. We've even raced them on flat track in MO in the early 80's. The RD conversion is pretty much how Tricky Dick's got started in CA.

I wish I had paid more attention to this stuff when I was back in high school... I was into dirt bikes back then, only into the quads a little cause a couple friends had them.
I guess you can say that Hamden CT. wasn't the hip place for much of anything... Oh the town did bury a bunch of old cars in a parking lot in the center of town, Halfway and then covered them with tar and called it the "Ghost Parking lot" Stupidest thing I ever saw, they just became a makeshift skate park for the local skate boarder kids! lol

Seems like a waste of some pretty classic cars. That is pretty crazy though.

MR Clean. That Trike is totally cool. You always seem to find the rare cool machines.

They actually did a bunch of years ago.they started getting really grungy looking, big chunks of tar were falling off, weeds were sprouting out all around them...lol I could only imagine how much money it cost the towns tax payers to rip them out! Oh well, at least the place looks a bit more normal now, well, as normal as normal gets there anyhow...lol
