Checking out my new Hero 3+ Black while changing tires. This took too long to swap tires... :/

I have a little more video from a ride on it but nothing done with it yet. So far I think it's a great upgrade from my original hd hero. Honestly, the 3+ Black Edition is probably the only new one worth buying if you already have an older one. My buddy has the Hero 3 white and it looks like the same video quality as my old hd hero, only real plus seems to be wifi. But you can get a wifi bacpac for the older ones cheaper than the new models. Thanks for checking out my boring videos :)

Its my understanding that the only difference is the slow motion frame rate and still photos. The resolution is only different for still photos. I have a white and my buddy has the black we both use 960 (I think) and there is no difference in our video quality. To me slow motion and still photos wasn't worth the $200 difference.

cool video. I have the Silver i bought last year, i cant complain about the quality of the video or still frame. i actually use 960 and 1080 back and forth depending on how much i want to film etc.

Are you talking black 3 or 3+, there is a difference. 3 and 3+ models are going to perform very similarly, the 3+ Black is much higher performing than even the 3+ silver.

Here (http://www.parkcameras.com/article/519/GoPro-Comparison-Chart---Including-NEW-Hero-3-.html) is a pretty good comparison between the newer ones.

To add to your post, I wouldn't spend the money either, And I didn't pay a penny for it :) Only reason I upgraded. I don't do that much with video editing, Some friends do so I will probably give one of them my external hd one day. I have the past 3 years worth of riding videos from my brother, Mark, and myself so far.

I just keep it on 1080 and bring extra cards. I was in a lower resolution when I got a good shot of me biting it hard a few years back, Kinda disappointed me haha. My buddy Mark has the 3 White and it does fine too, I was fine with keeping my old hd hero but it went to my brother finally :) He needed something
