I've got 20 inch fast trekkers on my bro's blaster with 9 inch rims and i'm thinking about ditching them for some holeshot 18x10x8 MXR's with my gold tri z 8 inch rims to match his fronts. The 20 inch trekkers we have are smaller than other 20 inch tires i've seen (400ex radials) and was wondering if by going to the 18 inch mxr's we'd see any ground clearance loss? If anyone has experience with the old holeshot 18 MX's that would work too. Thanks!

Youll like the 18" better on the track, but youll be totally miserable trail riding them on any quad, unless you like hopping off and picking the back end up all the time. I ran 18" on the back of TimJr's E-Ton 70 for trail riding and they were about right on it.

I think I understand what your getting at with Trekkers. I have a set of 18x11-8 Turf Tamers on my Z. My R has a set of the old 18x11-9 Fast Trekkers on it (super low profile!) The 18" Trekkers are actually smaller than the 18" turf tamers. I could see the 20"-ers being the same way!

I also had a pair of 22x11-10 Trekkers. they were allot flatter & a little smaller than the 22x11-10 84 kxt stock dunlops.

I just figured if the 18 inch mxr's are barely any smaller than the 20 inch trekkers he wouldn't see much of a ground clearance change.
