Hi I have a 200s and it will not start. I've tried putting gas into the cyclinder. No luck. Big blue spark. Brand new plug wireb. Brand new plug. Adjusted lifters to spec. Fully cleaned carb. Brand new rings. Good compression 100 psi. Brand new cdi, pulse generator, stator. Am at a loss. No clue why itbwill not start. Oh btw before itbstopped running there was black smoke comming out of the carb. If someone could help me brain storm would be great.

If you have spark and fuel, make sure you have air. Maybe your airbox has a mouse nest in it, how long has it been sitting? Also, because you mentioned that it has a new stator, it seems pretty reasonable to guess that the timing is off.

Nope checked timing dead on. T lines up with o on over head cam, and pulse lines line up with f. Do not have an airbox on it did not come with one. But, it ran without it before. See I'm lost

Make sure the dots line up on the advancer , might be 180 degrees out , very common mistake .
also if the fly wheel has ever been dropped or removed improperly it can damage the magnets , a cracked magnet reverses polarity .

Dots? Mine has lines and they are dead on no cracks on magneto. Gets a pretty blue spark

The mechanical advancer is behind the CDI cover and has the 2 springs , their are 2 dots that need to line up or your spark will be 180 degrees out .

had same issue everything was lined up but would not start was stuck for awhile till some on here helped me out and suggested that advancer was 180 off and yep it was. Aftr it was put back right, it started first pull and was good to go
but yea if its 180 off the fire lines will still line up but wont start

Could it maybe be a stuck or bad valve. Would that make it not start

If you have compression, spark, and fuel.....its gotta be timing. squirt a lil gas in the jug and try it....
