in introduction i say -my english is very very poor so in this moment i only read forum (sometimes with translator :p ) but i think i hello to you all forum :D
J want to buy atc 350x , but in poland i never see it( in this moment i see very destroyed atc 200x , but haven' t money to buy :( ) , so i buyed honda atc 250R year 1984. She is in poor condition , engine have 10 bar compression but brake pads is thin , brake discs is thin , no air filter (i install filter from motorbike ) and many things are destroyed and must be rebuild-but she rides fast , strong , on two rear wheels also and drift :twisted: . I paid for it 3000 polish zloty ( 1000 american dolars ). This is my first three wheeler and only and i like it and wants fix it and ride many many times :twisted:. ok photos :

firt ride after change the carburator ( in poland you can't buy many parts for this vehicle , tires and brake pads are availalble, maybe bearings and seals (all balls ) , but no piston , no crank , no cylinder, no gasket, no jets and carburator parts :( so in this time i ride with dellorto phbh28 carburator from honda nsr 125 motorcycle )

In this moment the most important thing for my atc 250R is original foam air filter , because i riding with paper filter from old polish motorbike and in my opinion, this isn' t good idea to engine , because i like ride on sand , gravel and in hot and dry days is many dust in air and dust can kill the cylinder fast (in my opinion paper filter isn't good to separate dust )

i buyed this ATC without any air filter so i never see original...

Welcome. Nice first trike. I hope it will not be your last. A dellorto. I have heard of these, but never seen one. Be sure to keep an eye on the spark plug color to make sure your jetting is not too lean. I'm saying this since you are running a different carb and you don't want to damage your engine.

welcome to the boards! from the video you shared it sounds like your bike is running fine, to me at least. Way to improvise with a different carburetor! Keep at it, i think your 250r is a great first three wheeler

After a many many gallons of burned mixture the spark plug is dark and dry :rolleyes:

Sometimes honda feels like when it floods , making smoke too much and no high RPM on high gears(often after a long ride on low and mid rpm for example after going to sand pit with poor rider on other machine ) , so i must repair it (change carburator, or settings it ) but most time she rides as a juicy trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro with big tits in bed :twisted: This is great 3 wheeler very very bulletproof, never boring a rider sometimes much better offroad toy then motorcycle or quad( sometimes worse also :D ) -mixture is only problem when you want ride :)

Dellorto carburators in 2 strokes is easy to bulid(easily constructed :D ?? ) , easy to fix, in many aplications gives a wild power, but the factory defect is throttle is maked with trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro material and she is rubs and carburator gives false air and problems -no iddle , poor reaction on openinig throttle , and engine sometimes turn off for no reason or incerase RPM on idle for no reason ...

but this carburators in poland is easy to buy and cheap...
