Good day to you all,
I'm right about to purchase 2 new rear tires for my 1984 Honda 200s. I have narrowed it down to two different brands of tires, but could use a bit of advice. I'm looking at the Duro HF243 tires which are a decent tread pattern and are 4 ply. Also for around the same price the Super Grip Super Light 6 ply tires. My question is will my 200s have a problem pushing the 6 ply tires?

Not at all, 6 ply will make it a bit heavier tire but expect no issues running it.

However in a non-suspended trike expect your tailbone to sting a bit after a good ride!

The OEM balloon tires would have been 2ply, a reasonably soft tire to make up for the lack of suspension..

Changing up to 4 or even 6 ply would certainly make a harsher ride.

I sure wouldn't go with the 6 ply. Even utility trikes with full suspension didn't have much travel. I used to do stupid things on unsuspended trikes when I was 19 or 20, but I go pretty slow on them now in the rough stuff.

Thanks guys,
The only reason I was thinking about 4ply and 6 ply tires, is because I ride through pretty hard stuff. I didn't take into account the suspension issue. So maybe the 4 ply is whats best for me. I just want something thicker then 2 ply.
