How does it work?

Wondering if someone could explain how the rear lower shock mount works on a 250R?, And does it give more travel than a fixed mount? I am thinking about building this type of system for my 200X's.

to put it simple all it does is lower the shock down=longer shock=more travel=all round awesomeness
