View Full Version : Bringing my yt 175 back to life!

Hey guys I been working on my yt 175 got a new bottom end for it now I got it all back together and can't get it to run it keeps flooding I've cleaned the carb, and I am pre mixing my gas.....anybody have any ideas??

I'd check that your float level is correct and that the needle and seat aren't worn.

Thanks I was at a local auto parts store today and they told me the same thing so I'll catch that out soon as possible....

just an update i got it to run!! i adjusted the float tab now it starts 2 or 3rd pull wont idle yet so i gotta mess with that and shifting is a bit weird any ideas help is appreciated

Glad to hear you got it going. See if you can mess with the air screw. Try 1.5-2 turns out from seated. Is your shifter sloppy? You can adjust some of the play out of it. I'd also check that the shift lever pivot isn't ovaled out.
