Hey all, picked up a decent wheeler 2 months ago and finally got it running and tuned right. So now that that's done, on to getting the lights working again. Which is becoming a bigger headache than I thought. Bulbs are good, wiring seems to be all there. Nothing is missing really. Other than the ignition switch (key tumbler) Lighting switch seems to be "good", no sticking or burnt connections on the back side.

Just looking for some insight. Motor has never been messed with, hence inspecting the lighting coil/stator will be the last resort. Wondering if anyone has a wiring diagram for the headlight and tail-light? If I have to mount up a toggle switch and run my own wires (properly) I'll do that.

Or if anyone has an ignition tumbler w/key they're wanting to get rid of. . .hit me up.

Thanks guys!

The key and tumbler is just another thing I'm looking for. Main issue is getting some illumination back lol.

Its not the ignition switch. First question,

1. Does the dash lights come on? Neutral and reverse?

2. Does the starter work?

Here is a link for the factory manual. Wiring diagrams are in the back.

The second thing is, if you want a new ignition switch, get on Ebay and buy a new 250ES switch for about 40 bucks. When you get it, cut the ends off your SX switch and splice the connector on to the ES switch. The difference in the switches is, the SX had a 3 prong plug and single wire (black/white). The ES switch has a 2 wire plug with two single wires (green and black/white). Reconfigure the ES switch harness and its good to go.

No dash lights, or any lights. Haven't gotten a battery for it yet and I'm not sure if the starter works. I'll be grabbing a multimeter from work tomorrow or saturday to test some connections. Thanks guys!
