81 250R motor Question

Looks like i need to do a rebuild on my 81 250R. I done a bit of looking but there does not seem
to be much out there for rod kits or pistons. I have seen some Wisco kits but thats it. Not a big
fan of Wisco. Ive had some bad some issues with sleds.
Any help would be great.

What size are you going in the piston? 66.25? You might be able to get a honda piston for it. As for rods. Might be able to find a honda rod. Or the other 2 choices appears to be Versah or Hot Rods.

look up Wossner pistons if you dont like wiseco

I took a quick look and the piston was 69.5mm or so.

I was able to find the Wossner piston
I'm up in Canada and im being qouted $220 for the rod installed on the crank and $150 for the just the piston.

Wow, my local shop charges 65 for a crank rebuild, and 40 for a cylinder bore.
