new member with 200x

hi all..
new member here from Perth,Western Australia.
just bought a running 200x but want to do some maintenance before takig it for a
burn.
need to know is the 200x models from 84 - 87 use the same clutch steel and
friction discs and brake pads.
also whats better.. keeping the standard airbox with after market filter or opt for the
pod style setup?

welcome to the forums good to see another Aussie around!!
I am unsure about clutch plates but I would stick with clutch plates for 83-85 as 86-87 was a complete redesign so I would stick with stuff from 83-85 I would stick with the airbox and aftermarket filter!!

thanks mate!!! finally ive taken the beast out for a wrap after being at work for 3 weeks.. WHAT A WEAPON!!
i was also wondering does anyone know if the 86-02 xr200r clutch discs/springs are the same as the 83-5 atc 200x ones..
im looking for cheaper options hence why i ask.

Sounds like you need to do some part number cross referencing. Why are you looking for a cheap clutch?! welcome to 3ww.
