can anyone recomend a brand and paint color that matches 1985 tri z yellow ? Thanks....

I think it goes without saying..powder coat.
Proper prep and professionally done..nothing will out live it!

Im not a fan of powder coat anymore,it chips and rusts underneath and it bubbles later on.
Some of the chassis saver type paints work pretty well Ive seen. Some need a uv top coat tho

Like Matt said. POR-15 black rust preventative base coat and then use their yellow top-coat paint. It is self-leveling and can be sprayed or brushed on. I used on my '67 Chevy C10 frame with excellent results.

I think with the proper surface preparation; there is nothing that can beat powder coating. It is a lot more expensive than a rattle can though.
