1984 250r carb upgrade, what will fit?

I wanted to see what other people are using for a bigger carb on the aircooled honda 250r atc. I'm gonna ditch the àirbox and run an open filter. What will fit and what intake manifold did you use?

I have a 34mm PE round slide off an 85R. Stock manifold, just heat it with a heat gun and pop it on.

i agree with that swap. Have done it a few times with great success. Also the 34mm flat slide PJ from the 86R & TRX R's is a great upgrade

Since trailprotrailpro ditching airbox I'd agree with the provious other post. I got a 84 and got a 32mm new carb got 85-86 intake boot which angled the carb to the side couldn't run oem air box. Got 81-82 intake boot got it on but ripped a little now gonna get the 2nd gen intake boot so it will fit. 3rd times a charm.

I have a Keihin PJ 34mm carb for sale if your interested..bought it brand new and used it for about 5 mins..then upgraded to a pwk38 when I got the big bore..I also have a NOS Mossbarger intake if you wanna go bigger..
