I have one of these (was my first bike, never sold it) and it's one of the few bikes I will not sell out of my collection. It is a really cool bike. MT50's came out a little late in the mini craze and were pretty wild looking so sales never really took off like the Honda mini-trails did. But for what it's worth...3hp 50cc two stroke, 3 speed, folding handlebars, adjustable seat height, unique looking, and street legal...makes for a cool bike. And I looked the one you mentioned up...it's in decent shape...oil tank cover, exhaust shield, and main body work is big $$ to replace on these bikes and they look intact.

edit: although I did notice it is painted the wrong colors. 71's are orange. 72's are blue. 73's are green.

You're one of the very few I've run into that knows the color changes in years of the Trailhoppers. for those who don't know, Suzuki's bikes in the 70s changed color every year, and each bike had a name- the TC100 was called the Blazer, the TS400 was the Apache, the TS125 was called the Duster.
Anyway,
There was one kid in my neighborhood that had a Traailhopper and it was a '71- 1st model year. I was one of maybe 2 kids that got to ride it, and of course I wanted one but never got it, much as I begged..
