I just got a set of RD350 swingarm bushings the other day for my bike. What a surprise to compare them to the whimpy ones the came out of the HI PO ATC swingarm. You would think the would be a little more beefy, seeing as they are being used offroad. The ones in the back are the RD bushings the ones in the front are the HI PO ATC.

how do you plan to fit those new bushings in the HP swinger?

The new bushings are for my RD350 bike. I'm going to have to get a new set made for the HP swinger. Any volunteers for making the new set?

I finally got my new swingarm bushings; not exactly identical but they will work. The base is too thick,
so I'm going to shave it in half or the swingarm won't fit. I didn't have a swingarm bolt; so I'm also going
to have to make my own. I decided to go with a 5/8" bolt instead of the 1/2" that came with the frame originally;
so I had to drill out the mounting holes. The bolt is a little long so it will be shortened and rethreaded. The
washers also had to be reshaped to clear the engine. I trial mounted the swingarm and shock to check for clearance
issues and it just touches the battery pan; which might have to be trimmed. I might have to make more adjustments
when I mount the chain tensioners, we'll see.

That Ohlins looks good in there. Cant wait to see the finished product.

I received my new chain tensioner wheels today. They're actually wideboard wheels, the old ones were skateboard wheels from the 1970's .They were a little too wide however; and I had to shave them down a bit. Now they fit great and also match the frame.

I bought a new rear fender off of Ebay. It's fiberglass and nice and thick.

Very nice but fiberglass is not very forgiving. Hence why they are normally made out of plastic.

You may be right but it's a lot easier; at least for me; to repair and alter than plastic.

Custom Painting is also an option when working with Fiberglass. Can't wait to see your finished product.

I saw that set on ebay a few weeks ago and really wanted them alas I have no money to throw around on parts I don't need.

Ya I know what you mean, and if I hadn't just sold some other parts I might not have gotten them either.

I bought an adapter from Ol Deuce to weld to the bottom of the ATC90 stem; so that I could use 200X front forks. First I had to cut off the old stem from the 90 with a cutting wheel. Then drill and countersink four 7/16" holes in the 90 stem. The next step was to drive the stem onto the adapter, and make certain it was on straight. Then tack weld the stem and adapter and check it again for staightness before finish welding. The final step is simply to smooth grind the welds; and mill off the one side, so it fits in the bottom tree. The first three pics and the last one are pics that Ol Deuce had sent me when I bought the adapter.

I got the last of my parts back from the powder coater yesterday; he can now afford that vacation in the Bahamas. Hopefully this weekend I can get some of them reassembled.

This one was just a rusty frame when I got it. No motor, no wheels, no nothing. http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php/100661-Hi-Petformance-ATC-info-needed?highlight=Hi+Performance+atc

Well I didn't get as much done today as I thought I would. Mainly because of my inadequate welding skills. I did however get my front gas tank mount put together and welded up, this is my second attempt. I made the main part out of 2 pieces of 2" angle that I trimmed on one side and welded together. The little cups came off of an old RD350 frame that I had laying around. All that is left to do is to attach it to the frame. Yes I know, I should have done this before I got the frame powder coated. Hindsight is so wonderful; and if I had used the ATC90 tank; there would have been no problems. But I opted for a larger tank because I hope to get this trike licensed for the road too.

Hey don't forget to check triple champs with fork tubes for clearance of the tank while turning. Before you comment to placement of the tank.:Bounce

I had that on my list of things to do; but thanks for the reminder anyway.

You can have the tank bracket powder coated to match the frame and make it where you can bolt it to the frame. That way you can still have the option of running the 90-110 tank if you like.

I was trying to figure out how to do that, without much luck. Every idea I had for bolting it to the frame didn't work out. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.
