Figured I'd post up my latest injury.

While kickstarting the 350X at Unadilla (it was my pit bike :D), I had sneakers on and slipped off the morning dew covered kicker. Fast forward a couple weeks and the GREAT ride at MIK6 and Jens house and mucky deep water was plentiful, The wound got entirely red and infection got the 3rd infusion tonite at the hospital. Pain and swelling got worse so theu want to keep me :(

4 hours for every infusion so I may as well stay the night for IV #5 in the A.M.

I snuck in some time on the suspended ATC 70 work today, I want it done soon! ! but I can'get any time to complete it, deepa. Front and rear suspension, boring my own triples and X Owner front wheel. 2 disc brakes and a Pitster Pro E start engine.

I want the tank Louis used on the raffle trike, gotta find that thread!!!!

Sorry. Bored and rambling. I made up some airbox rings too :D

This is one where I would listen to myself too.... Infection is hard to treat especially for people with a high tolerance for pain. Be sure to tell them of the slightest discomfort, itching, anywhere. Had a buddy that died from a cut he received in a stock car wreck months before, and the doc said the pain must have been immeasurable by the time he was dying from it. Hate to bee too serious here DC, but it sounds kinda serious.... GET BETTER ALREADY.

where are you getting treatment for that? i didn't like the looks of it at miks. mass general has best in the world wound care specialists. they'll put you in an oxygen chamber. you can be like michael jackson, without the little kids. also, i'm a huge believer in the therapeutic effect of the ocean. get in the salt water. its good for ya.

I just said "cup your yam bag" in my head in Fabio's east coast accent.

LMMFAO!

Steve, you are the only person I know on this forum who is in a hospital more than I am and it sounds as though you're just as stubborn as I am. My wife thinks Im hell on wheels with a death wish....in all seriousness, we've lost.a few really good folks from this forum all too soon so please get yourself back to healthy so you dont make that list too. Blood infections are no joke ,man. Get well soon!

It's a staff infection and now turned into mercer in my knee.
I am on morphine and 2 infusions a day; I CAN'T go home if I tried as I'm quarantined now and the nurses are wearing yellow Hazmat suits and gloves/masks etc.

Not making me feel very positive right now.....

Keep me in your prayers guys!!

STEVE!! No more stubborn! Once they get it under control and send you home you best follow their instructions every word to a "T"! Don't make me drive all the was to Mass with my kids!!

All joking threats aside, please please please, do as they say for as long as it takes. My great grandfather lost his life due to blood infection from him picking at a cut on his arm with his jack knife.

What you have is hard to kill bud. They are locking you down to protect others from getting it more than they are because of you. If that makes any sense. Is it open and draining so they can hit it from the outside also? Hang in there Steve. Hopefully each day gets a little better:) :) Think happy thoughts! I mean it bud!

Steve I spoke with your nurse today. Apparently the the bubble you've been quarantined to is to protect them from your flatulence. No just kidding. It's to protect them from the odor emanating from your feet. No just kidding. It's so they don't have to listen to you talking anymore. No just kidding. It's to stop you from boosting their kitchen of all bacon and cheese products. No just kidding.

Get well bud!

Thanks all for your well wishes. It is under control so the let me go. I have to drive there for infusions and won't be getting any dirt in there for awhile but I did learn a lesson this time and it got scary......

The way the doctor was talking I started a will, but it looks like I'll be AOK in time.

Well, nothing in my release papers said I couldn't start machining triples at 1AM for my ATCS122 project :D Hey, all I had was time and a pad of paper to draw my thoughts on.

This was the initial cut from slipping off a kickstarter, got infected and turned into Mercer.

It needed stitches and was doing well until 3 weeks later it was still not scabbed over and I got allot of mud in it at Jen and Mik6 house. We treated it daily but it wasn't enough and I should have taken it more seriously......

that's funny, my dad used to say that all the time... only nowadays, you gotta be careful what salt water you go in... like here in CT... if you go in up near the Rhode Island border, youd be ok but don't try going in down near Bridgeport...lol that would just rot off what ever went in! lol

No, this was a mistake on my behalf. Unadilla allowed me to have a 350X for a pit bike for Jason Halls crew. I did not wear my boots and had my new VANS checkered kicks on; The morning dew made it slip. 100%, my fault that this "MOUNTAIN BIKE" did this to me :D

You guys better lay off those crazy sharp pegs. Someone is gonna get one in their back or back of their neck in a crash!!!!

Great product but too sharp!! BE CAREFUL with those!!

Wow,, My Brother had a horribly bad infected Sevacious cyst drained on his chest over 2 weeks ago,and it Still looks way worse than that, except it is scabbed and quit draining. Dr put him on 10 more days of Keflex today..Then she proceeded to vent to me about the amazing drug problems ALL over our rural area they are seeing every single day. Glad you're feeling better sir!

Glad to see things are getting better DC. I spent the weekend in the hospital with our grandson whose is 3 1/2. He has MRSA and they had him on IV for two days and sent him home today and finish his medicine at home. I had a bout with it earlier but I got to it before they had to drain it and just has to take medicine to clear it up. It took me about 6 weeks to get feeling better. My wife has it now also and they had to lance her infection to clean it out and she is home just having to take medicine. MRSA is some nasty stuff.
