I put a new swingarm boot on my 86 250sx today, without taking anything off, it was real tough without help but I got it on, pushed the u joint back and slipped it through. The old one was torn, and held on with zip ties. Put new rear wheel bearings in also, it was pretty dirty in there. Also put a good used right hub on, my castle nut had come off and destroyed the hub, or vice versa. The flanges on the boot look too narrow for standard hose clamps, I have seen in pics small hose clamps holding them on, where can I get them? I don't think zip ties are good enough.

Also, nothing is coming apart easy, soak with wd, hammers and pullers, I am greasing stuff when I put it back together, would antisieze be better?

I replaced my boot not long ago the same way you did, I know what a pain that was, but better than dropping the whole swing arm.
PB Blaster works better than WD in my opinion, I've used several cans on my bike. Those clamps may be on eBay from time to time, they are smaller than anything commercially produced today, I checked Fastenal not long ago and they have a 5/16" hose clamp which is just a 16th or so larger than the OEM clamps, but if I remember right those clamps are only offered to 2" or maybe a tad bigger. I think the clamps you need are little larger maybe 3-4"? I may have one leftover that will fit, but if not keep your eye on eBay and check out Fastenal.

The large band p# 95018-86250, I believe is still available from honda, but the small band p#17258-ha0 -680 i think has been discontinued.

Are there two different sizes on that swing arm boot? I was thinking both were the same..

I figured out the sizes, 75mm and 85 mm, or 3 and 3.34 inches. I found some cheap harbor freight clamps the same width, but not long enough, I am gonna check with them for longer ones. Since the longer one is still available, it will probably tighten down to the right size for the smaller one, just 10mm.

What about automotive CV boot crimp-style clamps? They are narrow, come in lots of different diameters, and I believe you can buy them based off of size rather than application. The same type of clamp is also used on pex plumbing, so a plumbing supply shop (a real one, not home depot) may have some that will fit.199088

Stainless steel zip ties work well also but they're not easy to tighten if you don't have the tool.
