200sx/250sx vs. 250es

So, it seems that for whatever reason that SX models are more readily available than the 250ES models. My question is what are the differences in ridability between the two. Usage is recreational trail riding. I know that the Big Red has a longer wheelbase. I have been told this makes for a more stable ride. I would love to hear the opinion of someone who has ridden both.
