Hello 3wheelerworld My tag is Kawasaki Jockey, I just Purchased this 1985 ATC 250R. I'm new to the ATV world My friends all have Banshees and the all told my to get one. But I like to be different and took a liking to the three wheeler's so I got 1. all my friends say that i'm crazy and that I going to kill myself. But anyway my goal is to make this bike faster than my friends 421 stroked banshee. I see different kit and conversions for these bikes so I thought I would join 3 wheeler world and get some advise from the pros. So I'm ready to spend a small fortune to build a 3 wheeled Banshee killer.:p

I check out ESR and I think that 370 kit might be the one but Dochbikes you mentioned a 500r motor is that a bolt in or will I have to fab it up to work

Unfortunately the the CR500 motor doesnt seem to just bolt in like a KX500 motor does in a Kawasaki KXT250 1986/87.

421 Banshees are pretty fast dude !

So I looked into the cr500 conversion and it is a lot more to it than just bolting it in, So I called up ESR and i'm going to go with the 370 kit with power valve. I was told the kit would run me $2000 installed with a high performance clutch. :cool:to me that seems like a good price but then again I don't know. Can anyone give me an idea of what swing arm & length swing arm I should run? I dont want it to be to taimed I would still like it to pull the wheels and be a lil wild.

Yes I know. But it's more than having a fast bike you have to know how to ride it also. And my friend can't ride it
So I shouldn't have a problem beating him lol.
Sweet trike Is that a Tecate?

That is a Tecate. If the 370 kit doesn't do the trick, take the engine off of a Hayubusa or ZX14, put it on, then put on a turbo. If that doesn't work, I want to buy your buddy's Banshee! I don't care how much it costs! But really, I see you already have a drag pipe on your trike. You could already have something like a 370.

The guy I bought it from told me all he did was mill the stock head, mx9 port job, 39mm carb and a drag pipe only because he liked to ride with shorts. It runs on 105 octane. Don't get me wrong this trike pulls off on my other buddies dune ported banshee with no problem. I'm just fighting to keep the front wheel on the ground.

And adding more power is going to magically keep your front end down I would think adding more power would make your front end more wheely happy.

Yes I know This I mentioned getting a extended swing arm when I get the 370 kit, and ask what would be a good one to go with. I'm just here trying to get info on what I can do to improve the power and ride ability of my trike, not sarcasm thanks

If you came here expecting no sarcasm on a bench racing thread, you might wanna reevaluate your expectations.

You said you were ready to spend a small fortune to build a banshee killer, then said a 500r conversion is too much work. Sounds like you might need a genie in a bottle to get this done.

Let us know what you decide.

228820I'm back after a lot of research and evaluating all the possible options avaliable so I would not just be foolishly throwing money at my trike. I came up with a power valve 363 built by BDT FMF Fatty that I sent to BDT to have a larger stinger welded on it. A BDT silencer +6 swing arm, ASV shorty levers. Im running Evans waterless coolant Jay Leno uses it so Im giving it a go. I wanted to go wit a early 90's Honda NSR Repsol paint scheme, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to make this a permanent look so I used all Plasti dip to paint the trike just in case I wanted to go back to Red
