85 250es carb question.

Just got my 85 250 es up and running. Although the carb has been rebuilt it sputters on mid range accel. It idles really well and smooths out under hard accel. I am not sure air fuel mixture is perfect. Would this adj make it do this or possible jet clogged still? Thanks.

Yep, Id venture to say there is junk in the slow jet. Here's my carb rebuild tutorial. Make sure you set the pilot screw to 2 turns out and do the synchronization adjustment.
