Help me get my head around the logic here. In what far away star system is a $40 part worth $500?
Is there some brilliant strategy at work here that I don't comprehend?
I bought one from threebay and paid about $80 (shipping to Canada is a bear. Maybe it's because of all the bears. No one wants to make the journey?). So what makes this one rank up there with a Rembrandt?

I'll tell you exactly what is happening and then somebody will come in and argue that I'm wrong.

The seller is drop shipping parts. He is buying from a warehouse and he never touches the parts. Sometimes parts are back ordered. In order to save himself from having to re_list a cancelled auction when the part is once again available, the seller simply goes in and changes the price to an amount nobody will pay. That way once the part becomes available he can just go in and put the price back where it belongs.

I know this because I drop ship warehouse parts on eBay as well.
