Rode Rock Run today for the first time...and for the first time also met Shiflite and his buddy Kevin. Not only are they skilled riders, but they're also good dudes and super fun to ride with. For those who haven't been, RR is amazing. Breathtaking views, tons of well groomed and varied trails, reasonably priced, and camping available. The weather was perfect and the Fall colors were spectacular (not to mention the leaves covering the trails made it extra easy to slide the back end out:)
Highlights: Coming across a large flock of wild turkeys and watching one almost fly into Terry, exploring abandoned mine shafts, getting to try a 2 stroke for the first time (thanks bud!!!)
Lowlights: $33 in tolls on the PA Turnpike thanks to Mapquest error, a minor rollover, not having more time to explore...
Hopefully next time we can get some more people from here out and maybe even make a weekend of it.
