Hello! I Have a 200s that I am wanting to replace the factory rims with the 2nd generation 250r gold rims. The rear should be no problem. The front on the other hand will not fit on a 200s hub. What I would like to know is, can I put another Honda hub such as a 200x or even 250r hub on my 200s axle? Thanks!

Why are you wanting to swap the rims for the tire size. How about getting the 250r rears and paint your front gold to match.

I already own a set of 250r rims. It's not even for the tire size. It's just because I like the look. I'd rather use the 250r rim because I have a complete set and also because Id rather the 250r front rim over the factory split rim. I am interested in that axle and hub if they will fit on my 200s forks and accommodate my brake drum. This is the question I have. Do you guys know the answer? Or should I go for a 200x hub and axle because they have drum brakes??

Here is the bike I am talking about changing the rims. Purely for the look and a little so that I never have issues with split rims

Here is another bike that I have been working on and fixing up. This is my hobby and I use them to go to my deer stand and scout a little.

i don't have a 200s so I'm not able to compare but if you measure the width of that axle, and the diameter of it where it attaches through the forks i can compare it to mine

The 250r hub will fit your 200s axle. Most hondas have the same size front hub bearings. The 250r axle is shorter. The 83-85 200x and 83-84 250r have the same size rim and hub.200x has disc brakes.

The only problem I"m foreseeing is your front drum brake. If I'm not mistaken the drum attaches to the hub and the 200x and 250r both had front disk brakes so the front brake hub wouldn't swap over without a good bit of modifications.how would that skinny tire look on the 200s forks?

Thanks for your help guys! I really appreciate it. Thanks for the compliments too. I like my bikes. They are a fun hobby. I think that I may just remove the drum brake in the front and upgrade to a disk brake. See I bought that chrome headlight guard the other day and it cost like 100$ so I am wanting to keep my forks for that reason and I also want to put a front rack on the 200s. Let's just say that I went with replacing my forks with 200x forks because the skinny tire looked funny. Do you guys know if they ever had 200x front cargo carrier racks like they had for the 200s?
