Valve adjustment 200 es

What is the best way to adjust the valves on a 200 es, can I do it while its running or do I have to get
the piston on t.d.c. while the motor is stopped.

Definitely need to have the motor stopped. Download the manual and you can find the detailed procedure.

The chain can be adjusted while it's running, but not the valves. In fact the engine needs to be cold in order to adjust the valves properly.
