Just found this forum and it's great place for doing research and seeing all the sweet mods people are doing to there trikes.

O I forgot to say I just picked up a 86 atc 250r, it's a great running bike but needs some love. It's been sitting for a few years. I'm trying to find out what motor I have from the vin but it doesn't match up. The motor vin it TB06E-1003852. The previous owner have paper work saying there was a new atc motor installed in it in 1988. If anyone knows what I have here it would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to the boards, I live over in bc, not to far from Edmonton. Just curious where you found your 250r and the price you paid. I've been trying to find and R for a long time. Make sure to post some pics up.

I picked it up in red dear and I payed to much I think, but I've been looking for a few years and this one is the best one I've found. It's was a friend of a friend type of deal

Haha, I've been waiting to long to find one in this shape to sell. I have a few mods planed for the 250r but right now I'm just going to rip on it! Snowing here this weekend so the cr500 is going in to the basement for the long winter. The R will fill the gap till spring.
