Got home a bit early. Gets dark so quick now! Not much atc time. Got to play with the dozer. Moving a 6 ton rock. Could only drag it straight, any turn would stop progress and pull me straight again.
Tough little machine , watch video at end

Tried first with the deere, no way

Nice little dozer!!!

How can one NOT have fun on a dozer???

I get to run a JD 450g now and again at work.... I can't get enough of it

At the highway dept, we do our share of tree work and sometimes we take down some big old roadside maples. Here is a few pics I took as I was hauling away the big butts. The pic that shows the truck, it is a 10 wheeler.. just to give you an idea of how big those butts were.....

Nice deere

The 340 is cute, maybe 2/3 of a 350 deere. This one is from late 1950s I think

yep. she gave all she had.

without the sled under the front, the friction would have been too much for the little thing.

I sorta bit off more than i could chew. Saw the rock from afar and thought, that is perfect, got a bit closer and thought, hrm bit big. Started jacking and bent the 7k jack, working on 1 corner. Figured, it couldnt be that heavy, maybe just a crappy jack. Hooked up the deere and nothing moved but the ground under my tires. Maybe just a traction issue, i thought. Hooked up the crawler and felt the weight as i got it going and saw the real size after it popped out. no turning, only straight. couldnt push it a bit
