We lost another triker. Roy was a likeable guy and fun to poke fun at but he wouldn't back down from ya either.

Just got married about 7 weeks or so ago.

I'm told he had a stroke in his sleep and passed away.

I went to school with Roy so he knew me when I posted on a Craigslist ad 10 years ago about a 350X axle and he said, "I know you!!".

No idea about the wake, I imagine Thurs or Friday.

He really was just a nice person and I did all I could to build him his 85 350X which he loved. Hard worker and loved his wife Nicole very much......

Very sad to hear this. Never met, or talked to the man, but he rode on 3 wheels and that's good enough for me. Rest in piece, Roy.

I'm completely shocked. I met Roy in 2008 at my first 3WW ride. From that day he has been one of the nicest people I have ever met. He's a big "pop in" guy, which is a move that's actually grown on me in more recent years. He'd just show up out of the blue unannounced on his Harley or in the work truck. I like it when people pop in now, and Roy popped in a lot.

Back in the day he had the "DG Earslammer" series or something, it was deafening. There's a video of him on a lake with it and it's just screaming. One time he tried a twist throttle and ended up on his arse crossing the train tracks at Steve's house. He took it off after that. I remember one day when Roy and Steve were going back and forth about something and I overheard some of it. It had something to do with the axle carrier being upside down in the swing arm and Roy insisted it wasn't. I didn't really look and I walked off. The next time I saw Roy's trike I looked and sure enough, the carrier was upside down. He had the adjuster holes on the bottom. Now I understood, so I told Roy his carrier was upside down and he kinda mumbled "Yeah I know" and walked off, haha.

Roy hadn't made too many of the rides as of late, but he was also living life with his wife Nicole. You can't blame a man when he's happy. He was always a part of our group though, he's been to the Hell Hole more than once and that's important. I went to his wedding this past August. I felt honored to have been invited, it wasn't a gigantic wedding. We had a really good time. He was a happy man, one of the happiest people I knew. He's never going to pop in here again.

Here's to Roy Coe, tanks350x. All around nice guy and my friend.

I took this picture of Roy a couple years ago at the Hell Hole.

That is horrible man.
We had some light interaction with him over the years and he was sure somebody we would consider a friend without ever meeting him face to face.. We will keep his family and friends in our thoughts.

My condolences with the family. Never knew him, but a loss of a fellow triker hits home. May he rest in piece.

Wow. He had crossed my mind just a few days ago in one of the idle moments of my day. I never rode with him, but remember him from the first time I went to a NE Ride. I was healing up from injury and only went to meet some of the people here and see them off on the ride. Here he is back to the camera surveying the fleet and ready to ride. Rest in peace Roy, enjoy the ride.

He will be missed. I was thinking about him a lot last night. Same age as me too....

I remember all those funny stories Fabio. Nice to remember all the rides and goofy things we all done over the years.

Last pics I could find. I remember someone took pics or video of me jumping over tanks at DCs house at the double jumps.

Thanks for the fat joke John. Because of this incident alone it has my mind thinking of changes I (many of us) need to make.

Anyhow, thought I'd mention that Roy loved my cats and knew all their names. He always enjoyed seeing them and vice versa.

Not a bad bone in this guys body......

I have some footage of Roy on my flip camera that has to be uploaded to photobucket because it's from a tape recording......

At least he got to appreciate the rides we had over the last few years. I think its safe to say some of the best times of my/our life were riding with the New England crew. Those pics bring back some nice memories.

Life is short -live it up!!!!
