I have a 1984 200x 3 wheeler with a 1977 Yamaha dt 250 mx 2 stroke endure motor on it and want to put a different motor on it becus this one is pretty wore out and old so want to know if anyone else knows if I can put like a 80s road bike motor on it something like in the range of 250 to 400cc or even maybe 1980s to 1990s cr125 to cr 250 or yz 125 to 250 or rm 125 to 250 want to buy a compleat bike so I have extra parts

With a welder and some skills you can put whatever you want in it

ya don't have a welder so want to know what motors I can put on the same mounts something else has to fit if thers already a 1977 Yamaha 250 2 stroke on it lol it seems like something from the 80s should fit becus it a 84 200x 3 wheeler but would like to go with a 2 stroke or a road bike motor so I could get something cheap becus I traded 2 face core of wood for it and the guy told me it had a yz 250 motor on it buts a old 1974 to 1978 Yamaha 250 2 stroke endure motor with crap for compression and now no spark so im pretty the points are crap coil is fine

Without a welder, you are in pretty rough waters here. The Yamaha 2 stroke didn't just bolt in, so it is not very reasonable to think that anything other than the same motor will be a bolt in now. Pictures would help. Punctuation would make your posts easier to read. Good luck with the project.

well I wonder if a older yz 250 will fit same motor mounts anyone have any idea lol

That motor didn't just bolt right into the ATC frame. The only direct bolt ins would be Honda 200cc or 185cc engines and a select Chinese Honda clones.
Get a welder and make mounts and put whatever you want in it. Good luck with your build and post your results.
