View Full Version : Haynes or Clymer?? Which one should I get?

Just picked up a new toy and want to order a service manual for it and not sure which one to get? Haynes, Clymer or Factory Service?

85 YTM200ERN & 84 YTM225DX

Factory is normally the best, Clymer isn't bad, Haynes only if the others are not available.

Like anatomy books, they copy each others mistakes.
For sx swing arm bearings, the fatory wants us to take off tons of stuff that doesn't need to be fooled with.
I left tires and brake lines on and bunch of other stuff they wanted off,
and there was enough room to do the bearings.

CLYMER. Trust me on this one. I have both and clymer has way more especially for yamahas. I've yet to find something to do Haynes has the Clymer doesn't. Clymer has more pictures, clearer descriptions, and more topics.

Go here and download the manuals for free. He has the factory for the 200 and a Clymer for the 225
