Suzuki lt 250r

Hello can anyone tell me what a 1987 suzukilt 250r is worth. I have the opportunity to buy one for 200.00 just needs a new topend

$200 for an '87 LT250R ... sounds like it needs more than just a top end to me. I'll bet the frame is bent right behind the front lower a-arm mount on one side or the other. Stand it up on its end and look at the bottom. Also, make sure its an '87 - It should have a powervalve on the exhaust.

Ok. Went and looked at the r. She came home with me in the truck. Pretty good shape. Plastics are ugly Maier aftermarket but old and faded. Bike has been sitiin for about 4 years. Was running when tore down. Compression was low. I am gonna replace piston and rings. Shelf ware from bouncin around box. Frame and swingarms look GREAT. no visible damage, cracks or anything else. Will post pics when i figue out how. Iam a NEWBIE !!!!!!

Well, sounds like you made out like a bandit, I would expect to pay that for a run down rolling chassis.
