I just ordered a new headlight shroud as the one that came with was cracked. This one now has the DG Rear Aluminum Grab Bar and exhaust/silencer setup.

The only 'issue' with it that I have seen is the front of the case was cracked when the prior owner hit a large rock and pushed the mounting location back towards the engine case causing the crack. This was professionally, aluminum welded. There are no leaks and no performance issues - in fact, the repaired area is now beefier than stock...so, I purchased it with confidence and it runs as it should.
This unit also has the aftermarket handlebar and twist throttle setup.
Also, I have a set of OEM fork boots that are original and without cracks that will come with - the ones that it came with were brittle.
I rode it after I picked it up and it ran very well - they don't go well in medium to deep snow though! Too much torque!
I spoke with "Bill", a long standing member (and very familiar with the 250Rs - thanks Bill!) of this forum last night and he informed me with $300-$400 investment of this unit would make it very appealing for re-sale or is a very good original example for full restoration. Otherwise, it is ready to ride today.
Update (2/3/15):
Purchased and installed: used OEM handlebar with stock thumb throttle, used OEM front fender with only a minor crack(barely seen), added period OHTSU tires with ~7/16 inch tread, stock muffler recently painted with high heat black, stock grab bar, cleaned/painted stock exhaust pipe/heat shield with high heat black, stock tool holder, reconditioned stock carb, new Maier headlight shroud, added new exhaust gasket, new light bulb, new chain roller and straight OEM footpegs.
Updated pics to follow in about a week...

Karl
