Hi Peeps,
Just registered, my names Monty, I'm in the U.K.
Got a quick question for ya,
I've just rebuilt a Honda ATC 110 carb, I know how to tune it once it's running, but I've got no idea of where to set the mixture and idle screws as a starting point.
Could someone give me a rough idea of how many turns out from fully in would be a good place to start ?
Thanks.

I usually set the mixture screw 1 turn out and adjust (when running) from there. If the engine wants more than 2 turns out, the pilot jet is wrong as far as I'm concerned. As for a starting point for the idle screw, I back it out until it doesn't touch the slide at all, then slowly screw it in until I see the slide start to rise. This usually results in too low of an idle, but I just turn it up to the rpm I want.

I believe FACTORY SETTING IS ( ALL THE WAY IN AND THEN 2 each 100 degree turns backwards from the. If it idles too high then just play with it for a few minutes. You'll also find the idle speed with a tachometer.
