Yuma Az area 3 wheeler fatality?

my friend just got back from a month in Yuma, said he heard something on the news a week or so ago about someone getting killed on a 3 wheeler. Then he went on about 3 wheelers being illegal to ride in Arizona and California. Anybody know anything about that?

I told him that, according to my understanding, dealers couldnt sell them for awhile and its not illegal to ride them at all. On my way to try the dunes saturday, I stopped at the bike shop for parts and a guy hailed me down in the parking lot and asked if I wanted to sell one of my "R's" then asked if those things were illegal. Easy answers, no and no.

i live outside of yuma and i know that trikes arent illegal here, i see trike conversion motorcycle all the time on the road here. i also have tri z that i rode at the sand dunes all last year and last month i took a honda 250r out to the imperial sand dunes for some endurance runs to work on a new racer trike im working on.
