Here pictures of most the trikes I have owned. The only one missing is a 200M I had for a very short time. I am unsure of the year if the SX, the 250r was an 81 and the X was an 83.

Which one was your favorite?

Wish I could see a bigger pic of that SX. Might be able to tell you the year. I have owned the following in this order: 84 200X, 86 200X, 85 350X, 85 big red, 83 Big red, 85 big red and 85 250SX.

The 250R was my favorite. My brother and I built it together and a lot of buddy's were scared of it, I used to get a kick of that. The X was a to of fun because I used to the speed of the modified R, so I could drive it pretty much wide open most of the time. I hopping to build another race trike over the next few years. I think the SX was built for a few parts bikes. It was much more beat then it looks in the pictures. It was my first trike though and got me hooked.

I always thought the 250sx would be awesome. Were they six speeds? Know they had reverse. I was lucky enough to purchase a new 86 200x, its still my trail trike, motor never opened. I ran that thing hard. Honda made such good quality, impossibly long lasting trikes, just incredible. Never rode a 250r but i have a clue it would be my favorite also. I enjoyed the story about them.

As mentiond above the SX were an auto clutch 5 speed, like a Big Red 250. I would love to find a second gen 200X. My brother and I are toying with the idea of building a trike from a dirtbike. He is a mechanic and I am in my last year of metal fabrication.

Metal fabrication is so cool! There are metal fabrication/machinist guys on here and ebay that can make amazing stuff.I would like to get into aluminum and stainless welding as a hobby or building and selling some parts. I have heard welding aluminum is so difficult. So if I bought a good aluminum welder, I better learn to use it! Any suggestion on a decent tig welder? I wonder if there is a metals thread on this site?
I would like to put a small 2 stroke in the 86x, just have to many restorations going, probably never go there. To busy for what projects i have now. I would talk about it all day, trying to get my posts in for full access, then probably not post alot. Good luck with the education and all that you will be able to do with it.

That is awesome. I really enjoy working with metal and making parts/custom builds my brother and I have talked about is why I took the trade. I have generally heard really good things about miller welders, they are usually expensive though. I have not done whole lot of aluminum. A little bit of mig and tig but I really enjoyed it. The more you practise the better you will get. I plan to buy a really nice welder when the wife and I buy a house so I can play around with making parts.

Here are 2 of the big reds I have owned. I restored the 83 model about 12 years ago. The 85 I just put back together this month. Working on an 85 250sx right now.
