Hi guys,

I'm a new member here and I just got myself a '85 Honda ATC-250R. This trike was setting in a storage for the past 3 years or so, and I just made a full maintenance to it (changed all the fuilds, put a fresh gas with a 25:1 Yamalube 2 stroke oil in it). the plug is a NGK BR9ES and I just cleaned it well and tested the ignition and it was generating a good spark. It seems to take about 4-5 kicks before starting and it sounds healthy when it started and responded very well to throttle, but eventually after about 10 seconds or so it will die just as if I switched off the ignition (it did not cough or spatter, just die). I did not touch the carb but it looks new from the inside.

I'm so excited to get that trike which was my dream for many years and I'm dieing to ride it out!, please help!

There are some trouble shooting sections in here. Likely generic but good for future reference.

I wish a guy could get the "users" manual on line.
