I am second year Metal fab student. Work with metal is awesome, any welders or fabractors on here?

I work with steel pipe and steel pipe supports everyday.My job is a pipefighter. I have over 30 years in this trade.:beer

I am a tig welder in a shop that does mostly sheet metal fabrication. I weld mostly aluminum with the odd steel and stainless steel jobs. Check out my aluminum 70 build to see what I do on my lunch break.

Machine shop owner here. Small shop, just me, no employees. The boss is an idiot! Ha! Some of my parts are silver soldered, some might welded, and some tig welded. 15+ years ago, when I worked for someone else, there was always a bike related side project going on. There has been a side project going on since then too, I just don't get in trouble now!

i just completed the welding school about a year ago and have been employed ever since. Always seems like theres jobs out there for us welders. i love that we can take our skills home and build just about anything.

keep applying. you just have to find that one shop that is willing to take a chance on the new guy
