I just bought my first trike and with just my luck I got it home and it wouldn't start. It was running and riding less than 20 minutes before this happend..... I went to start it had it in nuetral with the light on but the lights would dim and it wouldn't kick over. So I figured battery was low and I bought a new battery and after putting it in I tried to start again and the light turned off and hasnt been able to turn back on. It wont even almost start

Recoil work?
Check for spark?
Key could be in wrong position. Has off run and lights has to be in run position.
Check your ground.
Check wiring right under gas tank make sure nothing came loose.
There is a fuse in the rear of the trike that sometimes goes. It's in a rubber case under the seat behind air box and behind on right side of tail light. (Front of light faces you when looking at it) Has two red wires going to it right by stator.
Hope this helps.

I tried to charge the battery before I bought a new one, I let it sit for a couple minutes and when I came out it was smoking. When I put the new battery in and tried to start it the lights came on and it sounded like it was about to start and then died.

Something simple, hopefully. Start with checking for spark. If it doesn't have spark, trace wires and go from there. Let me know how it turns out!

I'd check the fuse like stated by yamawheeler

You probably fried something with charger. Was it on 12v or 6v or boost? Buddy fried his quad same way.

You check your fuse in the rear of the bike?

Check and see if your battery is even good anymore. 20v is way to much. That's boost to those ATV batteries. Well mine anyways.

Buy a service manual and property test the electronic components so your not wasting money and throwing parts at it.

Just an update on my 200e, I have been trying and trying everything. Here's what I'm stuck with, I have lights on but it seems to be stuck in nuetral. I was trying to push it with somebody riding to(bump start). When I try to electric start I get nothing. Could this be due to it being stuck in nuetral? Again the light is on so I have power from the battery

Electric start will not work unless it is in neutral. As stated earlier - have you checked the main fuse under the seat near the back of the airbox?

So I got the gears to move. My lights are on the fuse in connected & my battery is charged. I'm not getting spark, there's no burned wires anywhere

Is your key on the "On" position? The fact your lights work shouldn't make a difference in starting. But your key cannot be on the light position.

Yes it is in the On, position that's what I meant by lights being on. Sorry for the confusion

Can you post a video of the noise?

if the lights being on you are talking about is the head light then it won't start, ytms with the 3 way switch have off on and lights, when in light position no start, otherwise headlight and tail light run off of the stator. have you tried to jump the starter with a car battery and booster cables to test for spark. I will provide you with a link to a downloadable manual so you can ohm the stator and the cdi to check which might be bad if you don't have spark. Also just because the fuse looks good doesn't mean it is try connecting fuse connector ends together and see if that gets it going. If it does then get a new fuse as you don't want to run the machine that way indefinitely. http://www.oscarmayer.net/atc/manuals/

I replaced a coil on my stator. Simple solder job. I got it from a company called RM stator out of Ontario Canada. For my 84 yamaha 200
