I got a FMF silencer for a 250 dirtbike I picked up for cheap. just thought I could take it to a muffler shop have them bend it to the right angle I need to install it on my 84' 250r atc. wrong. It wont' fit in the exhaust tube bender. I've herd you can maybe fill something up with sand (sock or something) to put in the silencer tube/flange to keep it from kinking while u try to hammer it over to the angle you need. Has anyone every done this? I guess best bet might be to just cut flange off and have them bend one to the angle I need and then weld it on.

Maybe a conduit bender and heat?

I've done this with a white bros. silencer. Put it in a vice . Get a length of pipe that fits inside and extends about two or three feet. Heat it up a little with a torch and start hammering gentle and applying pressure to the pipe until you get the desired bend.

Can you post pics of the silencer. A member on af.com put a cr FMF silencer on his 83-84 250r. He removed the end pipe and rotated it and reattached.213020 213021 213022

Go to a exhaust shop that builds custom headers, they can mandrel bend one up anyway you want.

Bring a case of beer for a discount.
