Hi everyone! I had a couple 3 wheelers when I was a teen, 20+ years ago. I recently went on a craigslist spree and ended up with 5 new toys. With the help of this site I quickly got 4 up and running strong. Took the first group ride on Sunday at Rowher Flats where I live in Santa Clarita. I love the reactions from people here who hardly see them anymore. The Rangers at the gate were shocked! Even the woman at DMV when I was registering a few said "wow you must have a lot of kids" Ha! I don't have any:lol: I rode the 200m, old lady on 250sx, my buddy on 200s, and his old lady on 125m. What a great time! So, I need to iron out a couple things: First, my wife didn't listen to #1 rule, KEEEP feet on pegs, tire nipped her ankle just a little, she's fired! Just kiddin', she will retire to a 4 wheeler when I find a good deal. My buddy on the 200s though had the tire bite him a little, has had ankle surgeries and such from our past dirt bike riding. I want him squared away so wanted to ask you all, How about this heel guard retrofit? Do you guys frown on this sort of thing? Any of you done it? Experience good or bad? I ordered a pair for $70 and thinking of mounting these up some how. Thanks to everyone's help! Oh and I stopped by the ATC nationals at Cahuila couple weeks ago, that was awesome! I took a little video, didn't talk to anyone cause didn't know anybody. Thanks for any input!

Hmmm never really had a problem with a tire rubbing my ankle. Maybe its because I've been ridding 3 wheelers since I was around 7 or 8.

Ya an old timer here in Burbank CA (ex racer he said)gave me a few tips and of them was that #1 rule, Never let your feet leave the pegs. Maybe a little bad luck that day? Sounds like this mod may be frowned upon, I understand!

The safety of your riders are more important than if its right or wrong. Make them bolt on and take them off later if needed.

Should have introduced yourself to many of the racers or support personal as most are here on the board as members, I call it networking......:welcome:
