Hi, I'm new here I just bought a 200x cause it was dirt cheap lol. But I'm having a few issues with it, im no stranger to atvs or anything with an engine really but I'm by no means a master mechanic but I know my way around. Ok enough about me on to my Honda, as I said in the title it runs for 10-20 minutes then shuts off. It's losing spark when it warms up then once it cools off it will start up again. I replaced the spark plug and put a new coil on. And it got better but not much it still shuts off. Anyone have a copy of the owners manual they could send me in a pdf I hate to ask cause I'd go out and buy one but it would probably cost close to what I paid for the atc

Since you replaced the coil and spark plug, that leaves the Exciter coil, Pulse coil, CDI, and wiring. The manual gives you the resistance values. Take readings with a meter with a cold engine then run it till it fails then take those readings again. You cant take accurate readings on the CDI without special gizmos. I'll bet the pulse coil is failing when it gets hot. What you will see is one of those items will have the resistance value go way down when hot.

Thanks for the link, I'll probably work on it this weekend. I Might not even be keeping it, my uncle seen it and he wants the thing in the worst way. I guess he had a big red back in the day and he wants this one to relive his youth. I have a 300ex that I ride. But I'll keep you posted if I get it fixed
