Scored a new 86 XL 250r gas tank

I was at a local vintage bike swap meet today. Before he could unload it from his truck I asked to have a look at it. It was a brand new take off because of the ding on the one side. Never had gas inside of it.

Nice! Whats the plan for it? Does it fit a trike, or do you have an XL?

I just traded away a 87 XL 250r. I haven't tried to use it on a trike and I don't own a XL. I just wanted it because it looked cool and it was a new take off.

I understand completely. I have stuff like that for the very same reason. I call it collecting, my wife has a different term for it LOL.

We could start a new thread all on that topic. Sometimes I don't even bother and want to hear about it and just leave it in the garage until she sees it. Almost a double standard but they know we can't live with out either :)
