I`m about to stop watching television altogether.

The lies, half-truths, celeb worship, glorified violence, obsession with sex of all kinds, lack of transparency, and the attempt to socially engineer us all has left me disgusted and over the idea of tv as "entertainment"

nevermind that I can`t watch anything with small children or my grandchild present after 6pm CST for fear that I will have to explain what a BJ is or what all entails oral sex to a little kid. If not for the sex, there`s no shortage of images of violence, blood, guts, and dismembered sickness to give little Tommy and little Sally nightmares for a decade. We used to be a Nation of "better than that" whereas now we are a nation of "let`s do worse than that...for shock value"

The media, whom wants us all to be tolerant and accepting of things people do, seems to be neurotically OBSESSED with all things LGBT as of late. Previously, we enjoyed (or not) a couple decades of the media`s obsession with hetero sex and when the shock value proved no longer effective to titillate a population that had seen it all at this point, they just raised the bar. Fact is, sex is the same now, proclivities and all, as it was thousands of years ago. There`s porn in Egyptian tombs. There is NOTHING new to report.....except for the rise in emphasis.

Now I`m no Puritan nor Prude. I love sex as much as anyone else but I have better things to do than being reminded 24/7 that I like to get laid.

That being said, I also have a gay daughter. There is no need for "raising awareness" anymore in my household... Been there, aware as hell.

Matter of fact, I was aware of homosexuality in the 80`s..maybe sooner. Richard Simmons wasn`t fooling anyone who watched Good Morning America in 1981.
Despite this awareness, I didn`t care. Not my thing, not my problem, not my business. Apparently minding my own business isn`t good enough anymore.

I still don`t care.........but the media and certain "pundits" seem to be obsessed with the notion of transgenderism now. I wonder what`s next.

They want me to know that transgenderism is not bout sex, even though gender is all about sex, and even though transgendered people would like to change their sexual organs in order to feel "fulfilled"....Confused yet?... So am I.

One minute, Bruce Jenner claims it`s nobody`s business and that he just wants to be left to transition in peace. He proved that by doing a two hour paid interview the other night on national television.

Now I don`t care whom you bed with as long as its legal. I have managed some very uneasy conversations to kids about why the President`s wife on Scandal dropped down and put her face in the Vice President`s lap or why two boys are kissing on Nashville.....Lately though things have gotten out of control and Logic has long since left the building.

I am supposed to tell my daughters that being a woman is NOT the sum of her parts. I am supposed to tell my girls that their vagina or breasts do not define who they are and should never. I am supposed to teach my girls to not let anyone objectify them for their feminine body parts. No Problem.

and then here comes Bruce Freeking Kardashian prancing cross my screen telling me to stay out of his business for two straight ours on National Television.

Bruce telling me he doesn`t feel whole and never has. Why? Because he is a woman trapped in a man`s body. What does Bruce Kardouchian want to do to remedy his quandary? Why he wants someone to operate on his man parts and turn them into lady parts....Why? So that he can feel like a real woman.....Why? because transgendered people are apparently not fulfilled until they get the body parts that DEFINE THEM as the sex they want to be....Uhmmm.....What?.....I thought that sexual organs, effeminism, long hair, effeminate voice, and mammary glands are NOT to be used to define a woman, correct?

Where are all these feminists to take up for the wives of Bruce Jenner? Why is it ok that these women poured heart and soul into a marriage to man who misrepresented himself and could never truly love them like a husband should? So since Bruce was scared and confused, he had the right to waste the years these women gave to him as good wives and mothers? They get no empathy because he deserves it more? Or is it because they aren`t transgendered, our new media darlings, like he is?.....HE is the brave one. Their contribution is insignificant. It always has been and always will be all about Bruce.

So where are the feminists speaking out against this travesty of Sexism on bold display? Where are all the White Knights at to voice their tweeter displeasure at the thought of sexism.....( a "White Knight" is a male social justice warrior who adopts feminism, empathy, and Dudley Do-right tendencies PURELY as a way to get chicks because he thinks it makes him attractive to the activist types)

Why do I see women applauding Bruce for being so "brave" by reducing the membership requirements in the Female Gender Club to nothing more than the sum of surgically altered parts and the faking of female mannerisms? Yeah, nothing sexist there to report.

Why is it if I like larger breasts, I am considered a sexist pig while Bruce wants breasts so that he can feel "like real woman" and nobody asks Bruce why he thinks "real women" are real because they have breasts....which is sexist.....True Feminism wants me to be attracted to Bruce because she is intelligent, independent, nurturing, kind, empathetic, and empowered. Bruce thinks I would be attracted to him if he got breasts and a Mangina. Nevermind all that other stuff because that all wasn`t good enough to make Bruce feel whole, even though if Bruce was a real woman, it should have been enough....according to other women. Bruce wants to be pretty and the message Bruce sends is that a woman IS defined by her pretty parts and that the standards set forth by the imaginary Evil Patriarchy of Beauty before Substance is live and well and free of critique because it came from a transgendered person......and the stupid woman interviewing Bruce completely failed to see the irony.

If you aren`t to be defined by your sexual preference then why do you need your identity to be wholly framed by your sexual preference or the contents of your pants or skirt?

I want to be remembered as a great father, husband, employee. My kids (all under age 13) can watch cartoons and movies on netflix, and my wife can watch what she likes, but I don't even watch tv at all anymore. I was blown away. come to find out, he's a bit of a prepper, survivalist, sustenance farmer, gun aficionado, with a policy of filtering all of the information he chooses to digest. (his words) well, i thought immediatly that he was a fruit loop. mostly because of the no tv thing. what kind of a kook has zero tv's? i would see him daily, and ask him constantly about it. his answer was always "they're all selling something." he would also talk about how limiting his information intake kept him from getting deeply depressed. like the curse of knowledge type stuff. deep.

the older i get, and the more i see, the less sure i become of anything. i can't get behind any cause because everything, EVERYTHING, is flawed. This gave me a moment of clarity. At the end of it all 'The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" explains EVERYTHING. No one is happy with their reality. That's the reason for needing things in excess, booze, drugs, sex, clothes, gadgets, mega homes, cash you name it.

Today we can easily see what everyone else has and is doing today and our entitlement mentality demands that we too have our slice. If everyone had to work for a living to survive each day a lot of this crap would stop.
