I've connected a toggle switch to my head and tail light. The first time I connected the wiring I got the headlight to work but not the brights and no taillight. I worked on it a bit more and got the taillights to work but no headlight at all. Again, I've toyed with it and now my taillights are out. Please help. It's driving me nuts. Maybe a short in the wiring or maybe not enough power to light everything up? I don't know enough to figure it out. Thanks in advance.

First off it's a 6 volt system and their is no regulator so the bulbs are the resistor , make sure you have the correct bulbs , if you try and run just the tail light with out the headlight it will burn out in a few seconds .

Probably answers why the taillight quit working. But what's with the headlight? Maybe the little contact points aren't matched between bulb and socket? With this headlight, I just drop the bulb into the housing and then connect the socket to it. Maybe they aren't making contact.

I'm still needing help. I have power to all wires when connected to the switch. I checked with a voltage sensor. But the headlight doesn't light up when connected to the socket assembly. Could that assembly possibly go bad? The power seems to be stopping there.
